Artists Night 2026
What is the significance of the colon (DoppelPunkt), and why is it the theme of the 2026 Artists Night? Looking at the colon, it consists of two individual dots placed vertically together, conveying an important message. Damyeong Yoo said at a meeting: "The colon symbol is like light and salt. It doesn't shine and season to reveal itself, but to illuminate someone or something."

what we offer
The Artists Night is a public event held in the Orangery, a Baroque building dating from 1719 in the heart of Darmstadt. It is a vibrant interplay of paintings, poetry, photography and film, collage, installation, music and performance, a place of beautiful and life-affirming, challenging and questioning art.
The next Artists Night will take place on June 27 and 28, 2026.
Hinz & Kunst is an event where we experience a colorful afternoon full of inspiration and creativity, where artists from various fields of visual arts and music present themselves and invite us to participate.
We organize exhibitions, often in collaboration with Kunstraum Backstube in Darmstadt.
We offer workshops on a wide variety of art-related topics at irregular intervals, sometimes in person and sometimes as a video call.
